HENRICO, Va., July 8, 2026 — Henrico County Public Schools is hosting vaccination clinics this summer to offer Tdap, MenACWY and HPV vaccines to rising seventh and 12th graders ahead of the 2026-27 school year in August.
Three clinics will be held in partnership with the Richmond and Henrico Health Districts and Kroger, and these sites will also offer adult vaccines for hepatitis B, pneumonia and shingles.
Registration will be completed on site, and all vaccinations will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last. A parent/guardian must accompany the student receiving vaccines during the summer events. Families are asked to bring their student’s vaccination record and insurance card if able.
Clinics will be held at the following dates and locations:
Tuesday, July 21, 2026: 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Quioccasin Middle School, 9400 Quioccasin Road, Henrico, VA 23238
Thursday, Aug. 6, 2026: 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Fairfield Middle School, 5121 Nine Mile Road, Henrico, VA 23223
Saturday, Aug. 15, 2026: 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Henrico Sports & Events Center, 1 All Star Blvd., Glen Allen, VA 23059 (HCPS Back-to-School Kickoff)
HCPS requires documentary proof of these vaccinations for students entering seventh and 12th grades:
Meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MenACWY): Students must receive at least two doses, the first administered before entering seventh grade and the final administered before entering 12th grade (after their 16th birthday). Tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis vaccine (Tdap): A booster dose is required for all students entering seventh grade. For more information about the Tdap Vaccine, visit https://www.immunize.org/vaccines/vis/tdap/.
Human Papillomavirus (HPV): Effective July 1, 2021, a complete series of 2 doses of HPV vaccine is required. The first dose shall be administered before the child enters the seventh grade. After reviewing educational materials approved by the Board of Health, the parent or guardian may elect for the child not to receive the HPV vaccine.
