The School Counseling Department is presenting a workshop titled, Time to Talk: Talking to Kids about Drugs and Alcohol on Tuesday, November 29th at 6:00PM in the Auditorium. Our guest speakers for the evening are Debbie Nelson, her son, Andrew, and Barbara Burke. Andrew (recent Godwin High School graduate in recovery) and Mrs. Nelson were recently featured in a Richmond Times-Dispatch article. Barbara Burke, LCSW, is the Director of Adolescent and Young Adult Programs at the Family Counseling Center for Recovery. By creating a parent account you will have the ability to log in under your own account and connect to your child’s course work. We will be holding an open Schoology Parent session in the community room during parent conferences. The community room is located next to the library. Please stop by anytime to sign up and learn how to use the parent access.

The fall play, The Greek Mythology Olympiaganza, will be performed Thursday, November 17th, Friday, Novemeber 18th, and Saturday, November 19th at 7:00PM in the Holman Auditorium. Tickets are $5 at the door.
Interest meetings for basketball and wrestling will be this Thursday, November 10th at 6:00 pm.

Students were treated to an amazing visitor at the All Holman Reads kick-off assembly. George Dennehy, born in Romania without arms, is an accomplished musician and international motivational speaker. He sang and spoke to the school about what it was like when he was in middle school, without arms. Click here to watch the video.
